WEDDINGS with CKE.live
You’re not a corporation, a board, or a committee - you are planning your special day. This service is broken out from the rest because with weddings I’m dealing with individuals who don’t necessarily want to look at Purchase Orders, breakdowns, or know all the technical details. You want to know what the end result will be, how much it will cost, and have peace of mind knowing that you won’t have to worry about another vendor on your big day - you just want it done and done right.

What sets CKE.live apart is I don’t just show up 30 minutes before the ceremony and only give you 1 hour of livestream time like many others who offer wedding livestreams. I show up right when the venue is ready for your event to make sure the setup is perfect and we capture everything from when the guests arrive and are seated until the dance floor opens up. The ceremony is incredibly important, but it’s just part of your big day and loved ones from far away still want to be part of that.
Don’t just show your far away loved ones what’s happening - include them
Why CKE.live For Your Wedding?
Coordination
I have been planning coordinating extremely complex projects and events for decades. I can either coordinate directly with you, or you can give me a contact list of all the vendors you’ve hired as well as the venue and just say “make it work”. You can be as involved or as hands-off as you’d like. I will work with you, your venue, wedding planner, DJ, rental company, videographer, photographer, MC, and anyone else working for you to make sure every important moment is shared as it happens.
Versatility
Unlike others, with CKE.live it doesn’t matter where your wedding happens. I can use venue internet, cellular, or satellite so you could have your wedding at that nice ballroom with superb internet, in that beautiful park just outside of town, or on a remote mountain top - it doesn’t matter, I’ll be there and so will your loved ones from around the world.
The Whole Day
You’ve most likely been shopping around to find the perfect teams to help you on your special day. You may have noticed that most livestreams have a cap of only a few hours. With CKE.live you can get the whole day from the ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner and speeches to the first dance and beyond - it’s all included. The best part - the whole day price is often competitive with the few hour price of others, especially when you work in the “extra” things.

The “Extra” Things
The “extra” things are what CKE.live really excels at. Instead of just sending out a broadcast and having people simply watch, CKE.live sets up active livestreams where remote guests actually participate in your special day
Remote Guest Speeches
Why should the guests who are there in person be the only ones who can share embarrassing delightful stories from when you were young? I make it easy for your guests to join via video call to give speeches. I then work with the DJ and the venue to have the guest audio and video feeds shared with everyone live, all while they can see your reactions on their end.
Live Chat
Even when there aren’t speeches, your remote guests will have a lot to say. I bring a separate screen that shows live chat, so everyone can join in the conversation. They can chat with each other, chat with in-person guests, and leave messages for the newlyweds. Remote guests can even request to have the cameras look at certain things, such as the floral arrangements, the scenery, the guestbook, and more - I accommodate those requests when possible. At times, camera operators will also carry the live chat around with them such as during Guest “Interviews”
Guest “Interviews”
During cocktail hour (or any other time when the lovely couple is occupied) camera operators will roam around with wireless cameras and talk to the guests. But, this isn’t a one way conversation. We can bring live chat on a screen with us, so as your guests talk to the camera, people watching can reply and have a conversation with them. We also don’t just walk up to people and shove a camera in their face - most people are uncomfortable with that. We work with your MC and DJ to announce what is happening so people can come up to the camera as we wander through the crowd.
Packages
Although each day is special and unique, I do have standard package rates that act as a starting point so you can decide how much of your day you would like to share with your remote loved ones. Note that these are standard rates and we’ll work with you to adjust them to match your needs and budget perfectly.

A little quick math - depending on the venue/the caterer, the direct cost of having a guest at the venue is generally between $100 and $200 for just food and drinks (never mind indirect costs or things like wedding favours). That means that generally having 5 to 10 guests join remotely instead of in-person can also start to reduce the overall cost of your wedding. Plus - it could also make your seating map a lot easier to figure out.

The Finer Points
There are a few things worth mentioning, but we don’t need to go into great detail until we have a call and unless you actually want more details.
Bullet point time.
Stream to one or multiple places at once including Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, Zoom, a private page, custom server, or another platform of your choice.
Aside from livestreams, your guests can often watch the stream later as a Video on Demand (depending on platform).
Livestream and direct livestream recording is in 1080p, main camera clean recording is in 4K.
I can share the 4K recording with your videographer at no additional cost so they can use it in their edit if they want.
I will provide you with the livestream recording on a USB stick at no extra charge upon request after final payment is made.
I don’t use additional lighting unless I absolutely have to. I use cameras and lenses that are designed to perform well in low-light situations so I don’t interfere with your celebration.
I can take in audio and video feeds from other vendors as well as offer video and audio feeds to other vendors to ensure the best experience.
If your DJ (or someone else) uses lasers, there will be a “Sensor Deposit”. Lasers can very quickly destroy the sensor of digital cameras.
If equipment is damaged because of an action that could have been reasonably avoided, the cost of repair or replacement will be added to the final bill. This is something I would rather avoid because I like my equipment the way it is, but if an intoxicated cousin decides to drop an expensive mic and transmitter, or run off with one of my expensive cameras, I will need to recover that cost.
YOU decide who I listen to. Unless you explicitly tell me to follow direction from someone, I will stick to the itinerary and only listen to the couple/direct contact. I won’t be taking directions from inebriated relatives.
My day rate means I show up some time after 6am and am done by 12am that night. I will then pack up that same night. Generally this means I start the stream just before the ceremony, have the MC do a quick intro, then keep going up until midnight or until there isn’t really anything else to capture.
No extra charge if the venue is within a 2 hour drive of Kamloops, BC. If more than 2 hours away, there will be travel and possibly accommodation fees applied.
Any additional work will only be performed if approved in writing (text or email is fine), and I will never do extra work and give you a surprise charge later on.
Remote Guest Speeches require that there is an audio system in the venue that I can send audio to, either built-in or via your DJ. CKE.live will either utilize screens at the venue or set up a screen/projector for the video feed (for an additional fee). I take care of coordinating all remote guest call-ins.
I plan on utilizing the venue internet in conjunction with my own cellular connection to ensure stability. If a cellular connection is not available at the venue and the venue internet is not stable enough for livestreaming, I can provide additional satellite internet to stabilize the connection for an additional fee. If no internet is at the venue at all and there is no cellular connectivity, dual satellite connections will be utilized for an additional fee. (For satellite connections, I must be able to set up a dish that has a clear view of the sky within 800 feet/200 meters).
If power isn’t available at the venue within 150 feet/45 meters of the livestream booth, I can provide quiet, portable power for an additional fee.
I will visit the venue to ensure that I can properly cover your event. If there are any technical or legal restrictions that would prevent me from properly covering your event, I will let you know what the issue is and if there are no solutions, I will decline to cover your event and you will not be charged.
If the event is in multiple locations that requires that my equipment be dismantled and transported, there will be an additional fee to do so. There must also be adequate time for setup between each part of the event if equipment needs to be relocated.
Additional time requested but not agreed upon in advance will be billed at $150/hour and will proceed only if the request is in writing (email/text/etc).
A 25% deposit will be required to lock in your date, an additional 50% deposit 30 days before the wedding day, and the remaining 25% due within 30 days after the event day
Once the deposit is paid, if the contract is cancelled by the client, the deposit will be retained in full unless the wedding is completely cancelled, in which case up to 80% of the deposit will be returned based on work already performed and expenses specific to that wedding
All prices are in Canadian Dollars
